As a test case, lets imagine that I want to start a software company and I am looking for a good startup idea. I choose Google and del.icio.us as my source of information and enter a query for a 'startup idea'. Both sides give me a big of choice of opinions and reviews, some useless, like 'Work At Home Ideas', others more educational. I am looking for something more defined, more focused, yet I don't know what.
This is exactly the case where del.icio.us shines. Notice the list of "related tags" up top of del.icio.us results. I find one interesting tag "web2" and add it to my query, startup idea web2. Now, the narrowed search gives me interesting and very focused result on delicious site TechCrunch >> Companies I'd like to Profile (but don't exist) . This is close enough, allegedly, to what I was looking for and good enough to recommend for actual reading.
